311 Bullish on Minnesota, Miami, KC

The 311 consists of three NFL games that we select using the spread or money line, one game that is selected based on the total number of points for both teams going over or under and one player projected production for the game and if he exceeds or falls short of that number. This will give you action every week that is based on trends and matchups.

This is Week 9 of the NFL 2022-2023 season. The eighth week of action had the favorites covering eight times and the dogs seven. The totals went seven under and eight over. The teams with the best record against the spread are the Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants at 6-1. The team with the best record with the total going over are the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints at 5-2. The teams with the best record with the total going under are the Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. My record in last week 311 was 4-1 and my record for the season is 20-19-1.

Cousins Gets Revenge over Commanders

The Minnesota Vikings are traveling this week and face the Washington Commanders. The Vikings are favored by 3.5 points and have won their last five games and have a record of 6-1 The Commanders won for the second time this season when quarterback Taylor Heinicke has started the game.

The Vikings defense is ranked last in the NFL. The Commanders have won three straight games over opponents with a combined record of 9-14-1. The Vikings had an impressive road win against the Miami Dolphins. The revenge factor will motivate Vikings QB Kirk Cousins against his former team. Take the Vikings -3.5 over the Commanders.

Miami Bears Down on Chicago

The Miami Dolphins are in the Windy City to face the Chicago Bears. The Dolphins are favored by five points. The Dolphins have won two straight games with QB Tua Tagovailoa coming back from a concussion injury.

The Bears played well in a win against the New England Patriots two weeks ago but were overwhelmed by the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 49-29.

Chicago has made several trades prior to the deadline. When a team does this and they have a losing record, they are considered a seller and have given up on the current campaign. Take the Dolphins minus the five.

Prediction: Dolphins -5 over Bears (-110 at Unibet)

Watch: Sunday 1 p.m. ET CBS, FuboTV

Chiefs Take Advantage of Bye Week

The Kansas City Chiefs host the Tennessee Titans. The Chiefs are favored by 12.5 points. The Chiefs and Head Coach Andy Reid have an impressive record when they are coming off of a bye week. In his 23 years as an NFL head coach, Reid’s teams are 20-3 coming off a regular season bye, and 7-3 in the playoffs.

With Reid and Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City, the team is 8-1 after a bye. Tennessee has won the last two regular season games against the Chiefs so this game will take on extra significance.

The Titans will rely on running back Derrick Henry to keep the Chiefs offense off the field. If QB Ryan Tannehill cannot play because of the stomach bug he got last week, the Chiefs defense will stack up to stop the run. The Chiefs are ranked 10th against the rush in the NFL. Take the Chiefs money line -650.

Prediction: Chiefs ML over Titans (-590 at BetRivers)

Rams, Bucs Heading Under

Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hosting the Los Angeles Rams. The total in this game is 42.5 points. The Rams are 5-2 with games going under. The Bucs are 6-2 with the under and 75% of their games have gone below the projected number.

Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp suffered an ankle injury but is expected to play. This will limit the Rams passing game and help the Bucs maintain their seventh ranked pass defense.

The Bucs inability to score over the past three game has resulted in three straight losses. They have averaged 14.3 points during that span. Take the under 42.5.

Prediction: Rams-Bucs Under 42.5 points (-110 at Caesars)

Watch: Sunday 4:25 p.m. ET CBS, FuboTV
