Five-Star Pick Braves-Rockies Over 12

The Atlanta Braves are at the Colorado Rockies with the first pitch at 8:40 p.m. ET. This is a five-star value bet straight from the BetQL MLB model, which is significant because the model has gone 61-37 (62%) on all MLB picks rated two stars and higher in the last three days for a quick return of $1,300 on $100 bets.

The model is projecting 13.5 runs with this powerful Atlanta offense taking on Austin Gomber and Company in Colorado, giving the Over of 12 great value.

Pair Braves ML, Over 7.5 team total

Dan Karpuc

The Braves have the most powerful lineup in the majors and now enter a series against the Rockies at Coors Field. This is a fantastic opportunity to back Atlanta in the thin air of the Rocky Mountains. Pitcher Austin Gomber (9-9, 5.48 ERA) will be on the mound for the Rockies, which is notable because the Braves own the best batting average, OBP, slugging percentage and OPS against left-handed pitching.

They should absolutely crush in this matchup and All-Star pitcher Bryce Elder (10-4, 3.39 ERA) will toe the rubber for the Braves, which makes me very confident that they’ll get the job done and earn the win.

Atlanta Rebounds After Sunday Loss

Kate Constable

Atlanta is looking to bounce back from a loss to the Giants on Sunday, which snapped its four-game win streak. I like the Braves to not only get the win against the Rockies tonight, but also cover the run line with Bryce Elder on the mound.

In his last outing against Colorado, Elder threw six innings and gave up just one run on four hits. I expect much of the same tonight against this Rockies team that has lost six of their last seven games and ranks 29th in wRC+. Elder should also get enough run support against Gomber, who has allowed 11 earned runs in his last 22 innings. This is going to be a lopsided affair tonight in favor of the road team. FanDuel has the best price on the Braves -1.5 at -164, but if you don’t want to lay that much juice, I also think taking them at -2.5 for -115 at BetMGM is a solid play.

Rangers Team Total Over 4.5 Runs

Matt Horner

The Texas Rangers’ offense has declined a bit lately, but perhaps what they need to get back on track is a great matchup with a terrible pitcher. The New York Mets are starting RHP Tylor Megill today, and he has been awful with a massive 6.44 xERA and 5.16 xFIP in 91 innings. That’s enough of a sample size to know that this dude is horrendous, and the Rangers are a team that can certainly take advantage of that. They rank fourth in MLB with a 114 wRC+ vs. right-handed pitching and I think they can manage five runs today against New York.
