The Stanley Cup Final is the single most wagered-on hockey series in the world, and you best believe that oddsmakers are going to have these lines sharper than your Ginsu knife with all that money coming in.

We will take a look at some of the teams we like in not only the Stanley Cup Finals, but to win the Western and Eastern conferences. Take a look below at our picks.

Devils, Bruins, Top Picks for Stanley Cup

I wrote a piece before the season started on why I loved the New Jersey Devils as a sleeper to win the Stanley Cup, and man, has that bet paid off. Well, it hasn’t paid yet, but we’re in at a great number. With that being said, I am not backing down on my love of the Devils. This is a very talented team that has gotten some fantastic goaltending.

It’s risky to take the likely President’s Trophy winner to win the Stanley Cup, because they almost never actually win the championship. In fact, the President’s Trophy winner hasn’t won the Cup since the 2013 Chicago Blackhawks 10 years ago. However, this Boston Bruins team might be the best regular-season team of all-time.

NHL Eastern Conference Winner Value Bets

Betting on the NHL Eastern Conference is never easy. There are no locks as to who will represent the conference in the Stanley Cup Final. As you may or may not know, the Stanley Cup Playoffs are the most difficult out of the four major sports in America.

To Win Eastern Conference

  • Boston Bruins +200
  • Toronto Maple Leafs +500
  • Carolina Hurricanes +600
  • New Jersey Devils +600
  • New York Rangers +650

There’s a reason why the Bruins are this large of a favorite to make it out of the East, and that’s because they have easily been the best team in the NHL this season.

They have a great offense, defense, and the best goaltending in the league. the one thing that would hold me back is the fact that President’s Trophy winners tend to always lose before they make the Stanley Cup Final.

The Devils have everything they need to make a deep run: a great offense, a solid defense, and has actually gotten some great goaltending. I’ll ride with this squad until the end.

Avalanche Tops in the Western Conference

The Colorado Avalanche seems to have found the touch that made them so great last season, and why they are the defending Stanley Cup champions.

Forward Nathan MacKinnon was named the National Hockey League’s (NHL) First Star of the week.

MacKinnon recorded five goals and five assists in four games last week. Three of MacKinnon’s five goals were game-winning goals that helped Colorado take the lead in the Central Division.

This team is fantastic on both sides of the ice. I don’t think they are quite as dominant as last season’s team, I could definitely see them representing the Western Conference again.

Odds to Win Western Conference

  • Colorado Avalanche +280
  • Edmonton Oilers +350
  • Vegas Golden Knights +500
  • Dallas Stars +650
  • Minnesota Wild +750
  • Los Angeles Kings +900

I have been on the Los Angeles Kings’ bandwagon since last season when they had ridiculous odds to win the Stanley Cup that I had to take a shot on. This season, they have started to open up some eyes that this team is a legit contender to win it all. Their biggest issue has been goaltending, but that has gotten better as the season has progressed.
