Dialing 311 in many major U.S. and Canadian cities will get you connected to a customer service representative who can answer non-emergency questions and assist with various concerns. A promotional website for 3-1-1 in Akron, OH described the 911 vs. 311 distinction as follows: If you have a burning building, dial 911! If you have a burning question, just dial 311.
The iGaming Player weekly version of 311 is designed to provide answers to burning questions you have about the upcoming NFL games.
The 311 consists of three NFL games that we will select using the spread or money line, one game that is selected based on the total number of points for both teams going over or under, and one player projected production for the game and if he exceeds or falls short of that number. This will give you action every Sunday that is based on trends and matchups.
As we enter week number 1 of the NFL 2022-2023 season, we’ve reviewed opening game match ups noting the preseason record is not an indicator of what the team will do.
During preseason, the starters play sparingly and teams are not showing the entire playbook. It forces the betting public to rely on power rankings, situational records, and recent game logs.
Home Field Disadvantage for Jets, Texans, Lions?
Philadelphia Eagles at Detroit Lions • Sunday, 10 a.m. PT, FOX
The Philadelphia Eagles are favored by four over the Detroit Lions. Philadelphia is one of the most improved teams in the NFC. They had a strong draft and acquired AJ Brown, a Top 10 receiver in the league, from the Tennessee Titans.
The expectations are quite high as the Birds will attempt to be a pass-oriented team. Detroit is not strong defensively and quarterback Jared Goff will be sacked at least three times.
The teams played last year and the Eagles destroyed the Lions 44-6. Expect the same level of domination as the Eagles cover the four easily.

Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans
Sunday, 10 a.m. PT, CBS
The Indianapolis Colts are favored by eight points over the Houston Texans. The Colts have upgraded their QB position with the addition of Matt Ryan. Running back Jonathan Taylor will have another monster year.
The Texans are clearly in rebuild mode. Houston lost to the Colts twice last year. The Texans were outscored by a total of 62-3 in those games. They once again go with Davis Mills at quarterback. Mills last year threw for 2,664 yards and had a 66.8% completion rate. He had 16 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
The Colts just missed the playoffs last year and look at this as the first step for them vying for the division crown in the AFC South. Indianapolis wins convincingly.
Pick: Colts -8 over Texans at BetRivers
Baltimore Ravens at New York Jets
Sunday, 10 a.m. PT, CBS
The Baltimore Ravens are favored by seven over the New York Jets. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson did not get a contract extension so he will be trying to return to his MVP status of two years ago. Running back J.K. Dobbins is back from a season ending injury last year and will improve the running game. There is an upgrade to the receiving core as well.
Jets will probably be without QB Zach Wilson, though he has practiced and might play. They are not formidable when he is in the lineup. Joe Flacco might start instead.
Flacco being the former Ravens QB makes an interesting storyline of exacting revenge against his former team. The last meeting between the teams was in 2018 when the Ravens won 42-21. They were favored that day by 17 points. Lay the seven and take the Ravens.

Tampa Bay-Dallas Goes Over
Sunday, 5:20 p.m. PT, NBC
The Dallas Cowboys host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and I like the over of 47 points in this game.
These teams played last year in the season opener. The game was played in Tampa Bay and the Buccaneers won 31-29.
The Cowboys averaged 31.2 points last season. The Buccaneers averaged 30.1 points per game. The 47 is a tad low and based on Bucs QB Tom Brady not being with the team during the first two preseason games.
The injuries to Tampa Bay’s offensive line are a concern. Brady’s quick release will minimize the pressure from the defense of the Cowboys. The game goes over.
Pick: Tampa Bay-Dallas Over 47 at BetMGM
Jefferson Continues Stellar Play
Sunday, 1:25 p.m. PT, FOX
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson is coming off a phenomenal year and is ranked in several prominent polls for Fantasy Football behind only Los Angeles Rams receiver Cooper Kupp.
Jefferson faces the Green Bay Packers at home on Sunday and should have a productive day. Jefferson scored two touchdowns in the last game he played against Green Bay.
He scored a TD in 9 of 16 games last season and at +700 to score on Sunday the prop bet holds great value.
Pick: Jefferson to score a touchdown +700 at Caesars
