NFL Monday Night Best Bets for Pittsburgh-Buffalo, Philadelphia-Tampa Bay

There are now two NFL Playoff games on Monday, with the Pittsburgh Steelers-Buffalo Bills game moved from Sunday to Monday because of adverse weather conditions. We have the best picks for that game, as well as the Philadelphia Eagles at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With the delay of the Pittsburgh Steelers game against the Buffalo Bills because of extreme weather, we get two playoff games on Monday. They will play first, followed by the Philadelphia Eagles facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That means an additional betting opportunity.

Evans Finds End Zone

The Eagles finished the season allowing the second-most passing yards and the second-most passing touchdowns in the NFL. That bodes well for wide receiver Mike Evans, who had 13 touchdowns this season.

Granted, last week was ugly for Baker Mayfield and the Tampa passing game. But Mayfield also had 10 passing touchdowns in his previous four games, three of which went to Evans. Against a porous Philly secondary, Evans is likely to have a big game on Monday and find his way to the end zone at least once – Dan Karpuc.

Best Bet: Mike Evans Anytime TD (+110 at Caesars)

Watch: Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN or fuboTV

Eagles Fail to Cover Again

The Eagles are a complete mess and I don’t trust them at all to win this game, so I see the Buccaneers covering this one. They’ve covered four of their last five spreads and the Eagles have failed to cover their last six.

Plus, AJ Brown suffered a knee injury and Jalen Hurts suffered a finger injury against the New York Giants last week. Even if those injuries are minor, the skid the Eagles have been on makes me inclined to take the Buccaneers to cover here – Lucy Burdge.

Best Bet: Buccaneers +2.5 against Eagles (+100 at BetMGM)

Watch: Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN or fuboTV

Godwin Gobbles up Yards

Bucs WR Chris Godwin Over 55.5 rec yds (-115, BetMGM)

The Eagles’ secondary has been so awful this season that I have to target props for at least one of the Bucs receivers. Chris Godwin has gone Over 55.5 receiving yards in four of his last five games and I like him to go over that mark again on Monday.

Philly is giving up the most receptions and second-most receiving yards to opposing WRs. It allowed 85 yards to Wan’Dale Robinson in Week 18, 82 yards to Greg Dortch in Week 17, and 90 yards to Darius Slayton in Week 16. Even if Mike Evans has a monster game, I still think Godwin gets over this number –Kate Constable.

Best Bet: Chris Godwin Over 55.5 reception yards (-115 at BetMGM)

Watch: Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN or fuboTV

Expect Few Points in Snowy Buffalo

This is going to be a low-scoring, borderline-ugly game, especially for the Steelers, regardless of who they start at quarterback. But you’ll have to hurry to get a good number. The total is 38 at Pinnacle (-117) and 37.5 at Circa (-110), two of the sharpest NFL books, so I expect this number and price to drop soon at BetRivers. It has already moved from 39 and is currently at 37.5 with the Under at -112. Since the game was moved to Monday the total has stayed steady. Ironically, the temperature will be colder (20 degrees) and snow is also expected.

If this number moves too much to play, you can also take Under 3.5 total touchdowns for +125 at BetMGM. It’s not the same bet, obviously, but same line of thinking. Besides, it’s at plus-money – Brad Pinkerton.

Best Bet: Steelers-Bills Under 37.5 (-112 at BetRivers)

Watch: Monday, 4:30 p.m. ET, CBS or fuboTV

Allen Takes Advantage of Conditions

The extreme cold, snowy conditions forecast in Buffalo are playing right into Josh Allen’s strength of running the ball, and I think he and James Cook are going to be the Bills’ go-to guys in the red zone. It doesn’t hurt that Allen has 15 rushing scores this season with eight in his last six games, and we’re getting decent odds for another.

Best Bet: Josh Allen Anytime TD (-129 at BetRivers)

Watch: Monday, 4:30 p.m. ET, CBS or fuboTV
