WSOP.com, BorgataPoker.com Kick Off 2019 with New Special Events

WSOP.com and BorgataPoker.com are kicking off 2019 with a host of exciting poker tournaments and events. We have a rundown of the main events in January.

January is turning out to be another big month for online poker tournaments with special events offered by WSOP.com, BorgataPoker.com and PartyPoker.com.

WSOP.com is offering its New Year Kickoff Tournament Series from January 20 to 27. Remember, online players in New Jersey and Nevada can participate in WSOP events.

The series features eight separate tournaments with a combined $35,000 in prize pool guarantees.

The series kicks off with a $100,000 guaranteed tournament with a $215 buy-in. The Sunday special is a re-buy tournament. The opener is followed by a series of events with buy-ins from $5 to $300 featuring knock-outs, Deepstacks and turbo tournaments.

It all ends with a $150,000 guaranteed Main Event with a $525 buy-in.

Plus, if you play in at least three New Year Kickoff Series tournaments, you’ll win a seat to the Player’s Challenge Freeroll. The freeroll runs on January 31 at 8 p.m. and awards the top three players an entry into the 2019 World Series of Poker $1,000 Online Bracelet Event.

BorgataPoker.com

Meanwhile, BorgataPoker.com has already begun its series of online satellites for the Borgata Winter Poker Open to be played at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City from January 15 to February 1.

The satellites give you a shot at winning seats to the $2 Million Guaranteed Borgata Winter Poker Open kick-off event or the $3 million Guaranteed WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship. The satellites include a daily $5 qualifier to win seats to satellites for opening event.

Satellites to the Winter Poker Open opening events also run daily and carry a $45 buy-in. The satellites run through January 16.

For the Winter Open championship, you can play in qualifiers to the championship’s Super Satellites. The first step qualifiers are held daily (except Sundays) through January 26 and also carry a $45 buy-in. The Super Satellites, which award seats to the championship event, are held January 19 and 20 and January 26 and 27. They carry a $400 buy-in.

Leaderboards

Meanwhile, WSOP.com and BorgataPoker—along with its partner PartyPoker—are offering Sit and Go Leaderboard promotions for the month. WSOP.com has four weekly leaderboards based on play at Sit and Go tournaments from January 1 to 28.

BorgataPoker and PartyPoker’s weekly leaderboards for six-max Sit and Go events run through January 27. They offer $2,000 in prizes every week.
