FirstLookGames.com has just published another preview of games hitting the online casinos in the coming weeks. To complement the three we reviewed last week, here are two more to watch for.
You’ll note that the return-to-player percentages are sometimes listed here as ranges. That’s the range offered by the game developer. Most of the online casinos pick a Return to Player or RTP number close to 95-96% on the vast majority of games. The RTP percentage, reflects the percentage of all wagers on a game that are returned, collectively, to players as wins. It is also known as the payback percentage.
Here are a couple to sample in the coming weeks.
Register a new account at Resorts Casinos, deposit up to $1,000 and the casino will match it with free bonus play. The matching funds can be used on slots, table games, and live dealer games.
Gargantoonz
Gargantoonz is what is known as a “grid slot.” Instead of spinning reels, play takes place on an eight-by-eight grid of symbols. The symbols pay off when at least six of them cluster—the more like symbols that are adjacent to each other, the higher the payoff.
The slot was developed by Play n Go and will be released November 3. The RTP is between 84.2%, 96.2%.
Each time a cluster appears, those symbols disappear and new symbols fall into their place from the top of the screen. They continue to cascade down until no clusters appear. Thus, it’s possible to get multiple wins for a single wager. The pays for the successive clusters are logged on a meter to the left of the grid.
This particular game is the third sequel to Play n Go’s hit Reactoonz. They all feature weird one-eyed monsters as the game characters. The difference here are a few innovations to raise the pays. Mega symbols appear in two-by-two, three-by-three, five-by-five or seven-by-seven sizes. Each mega symbol counts as a single symbol. But its “cluster value” is determined randomly—it can count as a cluster of up to 13 symbols. When they disappear from the screen, they are replaced by a wild symbol on the grid.
There also is a great feature that can transform non-winning spins into winners. At any time, five to 10 “Quantum Wilds” may be added to the reels, substituting for all other symbols.
Ultimate Fire Link Cash Falls China Street
With Ultimate Fire Link Cash Falls China Street, Light & Wonder combines features of several popular games and places them in the Ultimate Fire Link family. The release date is November 14 and it has an RTP of between 90%-96%.
The reel setup on this is unique. It is a 4-4-6-6-8 configuration—four symbols on the first two reels, six on the next two reels, eight on the last reel. The base game is a ways-to-win setup that pays for adjacent symbols. In this reel setup, there are 4,608 possible ways to win on every spin.
When the Fireball symbol lands on a reel, all other Fireball symbols are locked in place for the next three spins. The goal is to fill the entire reel with Fireball symbols to trigger the Cash Falls feature. When that is triggered, the Fireball symbols display corresponding jackpot symbols—the Mini, paying at 25 times the bet, the Minor at 50X, the Major at 500X, or the Mega at 10,000X.
If Fireball symbols land on all the spaces on a reel and one displays the Fire Link symbol, the Fire Link Feature will be triggered. All Fireball symbols are randomly placed on the first four reels for a three-spin hold-and-re-spin feature.
There also is a free-spin bonus. Three, four or five scatter symbols trigger 10, 12 or 15 free games, respectively. During the free spins, any Fireball symbol that lands locks in position. If all symbols on a reel are Fireballs, a bonus wheel appears, for a spin that will either land multipliers or trigger the Fire Link hold-and-re-spin feature.
