LeoVegas Seeks Spanish Licensing
Online betting and gaming operator LeoVegas announced it has submitted a license application for casino and sports betting in Spain. The company said it hopes to launch in Spain in the first quarter of 2019.
Missouri Sports Betting Bill Pre-Filed
A bill allowing sports betting at riverboat casinos and online has been pre-filed by Missouri state Senator Denny Hoskins (l.). Sports betting revenue would go toward education, veterans programs and infrastructure improvements at sports venues. The measure “puts reasonable regulations to monitor sports betting to make it legal in the state of Missouri,” Hoskins said.

South Carolina Senator Pre-files Sports Betting Bills

But state Senator Gerald Malloy pre-filed a bill amending the state constitution to allow sports betting and “casino activities.” Estimates show sports betting could generate $215 million in annual tax revenue.

Oakland Sues Raiders, NFL Over Move to Vegas
The city of Oakland is seeking triple monetary damages under U.S. antitrust law, accusing the team and the league of devising a $378 million payment, disguised as a “relocation fee,” to buy support for the move from the other team owners. The complaint claims the move also violates the NFL’s own relocation rules. The team will relocated to a new stadium (l.) in Las Vegas in 2020.
