Caesars, DraftKings partner on online sports betting, gaming deal

Caesars Entertainment and DraftKings announced a deal that will give DraftKings market access for its online gaming offerings. DraftKings will offer mobile sports betting and other online gaming, including poker and slots.

Caesars Entertainment and DraftKings announced a multi-state deal, giving DraftKings market access for its online gaming products, according to a press release.

The partnership will give DraftKings broader access to the U.S. sports betting market. DraftKings will promote Caesars as its official casino resort partner in the states where the companies collaborate.

Under the agreement, DraftKings will offer mobile sports betting and other online gambling, including poker, other table games and slots, in the markets Caesars serves, if the states enact laws to permit the activity, according to CDC Gaming Reports.

DraftKings launched online sports betting in New Jersey last summer, through a partnership with Resorts Atlantic City. DraftKings has led in mobile sports revenue every month since, and mobile sports betting made up 80 percent of all sports wagers in the state in January 2019, according to New Jersey gaming regulators.

Caesars has been seeking out betting and partnership deals over the past few months since the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the federal ban on sports betting. Some Caesars-owned properties have marketing deals with NFL teams, and the company has a corporate deal with NBA and NHL teams.
