Gretzky Light the Lamp Online Slot Scores Big Win For NHL and BetMGM

Want to combine your love of slots with your love of hockey? BetMGM has the solution! Wayne Gretzky is also starring in a new BetMGM advertising campaign.

BetMGM announced last week the exclusive launch of the Gretzky Light the Lamp slot game at BetMGM Casino. The new slot features NHL legend and BetMGM ambassador Wayne Gretzky. Gretzky Light the Lamp is now available at BetMGM Casino in New Jersey and Michigan and will be available in additional iGaming markets where the operator is live pending regulatory approval.

Vegas in the Palm of Your Hand

“The ability to bring ‘Vegas Magic’ to its players is one of the biggest reasons BetMGM is so unique,” said Gretzky. “Gretzky Light the Lamp is a great combined example of my role as a BetMGM ambassador and the company’s constant innovation.”

Developed by Spinberry, an omnichannel game development studio, Gretzky Light the Lamp is a 25 line, 5×3 slot game with a hockey theme that includes free spins and wild re-spins. The game is the first to showcase Spectacular Link and Spectacular Link Frenzy. Players will see Wayne Gretzky wearing a gold and black jersey adorned with a BetMGM logo.

“Wayne Gretzky’s historic legacy in hockey makes him a wonderful ambassador for BetMGM,” said Oliver Bartlett, VP of gaming product and content at BetMGM. “We are honored to create a game that showcases his likeness and brings the excitement of lighting the lamp to iGaming.”

Gretzky, Hockey and Online Casinos

Gretzky signed a multi-year brand ambassador deal with BetMGM in 2021 to bolster marketing efforts. In addition to a new exclusive casino game, Gretzky is also the star of BetMGM’s new advertising campaign. Directed by Philippe André and produced in partnership with Emmy award-winning agency, Highdive, the commercial, “Vegas Magic,” highlights how live dealer games from BetMGM Casino let you feel the magic of Vegas in your own home, whenever and wherever you want the excitement of Vegas table games. The spot finishes with Gretzky at the blackjack table making a reference to his famous jersey number 99.

BetMGM’s online casino is home to over 5,400 titles across North American markets and one of the largest state-by-state exclusive progressive jackpot networks. BetMGM’s jackpot network currently consists of over 25 games including popular titles such as MGM Grand Millions, Bison Fury, and 15 Lanterns. Players can earn BetMGM Rewards Points and Tier Credits by playing at BetMGM Casino. BetMGM Rewards points can be redeemed for digital bonuses, MGM Rewards Points, and Marriott Bonvoy Points.
