The Borgata in Atlantic City was the first casino in AC to open a live sports book. Now it’s finally got a mobile sports book under its own name.
Borgata Online—home of BorgataCasino.com and BorgataPoker.com—has officially launched an online sports betting platform. It joins the PlayMGM platform to offer up a double shot of online sports books under the MGM and Borgata brands.
BorgataSports.com is available on desktop and for download on iOS and Android devices.
“We are excited to launch BorgataSports.com,” said Marcus Glover, president and chief operating officer for Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in a press release. “With our customers in mind, we have delivered the ability for existing BorgataCasino.com and BorgataPoker.com account holders to use their current credentials to sign in and access all platforms, allowing for a seamless transition between products.”
Class Act, Online or In Person
It’s kind of fitting that the Borgata casino has its own online sports book now, as it was the first Atlantic City casino to open a live sports book.
Players at BorgataSports.com will be able to make the same sports bets that are available at the live book in Atlantic City. That includes straight bets, parlay bets, futures bets and more.
Playing online also means you can make live in-game bets and take advantage of daily boosted parlays across multiple sports. Best of all, you can make a risk-free first bet at the sports book of up to $250, getting cashback on a loss.
The online sports book is a great move for the casino, but then, the Borgata always does things with class. The casino has started construction of a live sports book that will integrate an entertaining bar experience with sports wagering. The facility is expected to cost about $11 million and will debut sometime this summer.
Plan Now for Summer Poker Open
In other news, BorgataPoker.com has released a schedule for online satellites for its Summer Poker Open in Atlantic City—even before the release of the full open schedule. The satellites begin June 23 and run to July 21.
Included are satellites to the $1/2 Million Guaranteed Borgata Summer Poker Open kick-off event and the $1 Million Guaranteed Borgata Summer Poker Open Championship.
Satellites for the opening $600 buy-in event begin daily on June 23 and run to July 11. As usual, you can start with an entry-level satellite for as little as $5. The buy-in for satellites that award seats to the first event are $45.
Satellites for the $2,700 Borgata Open Championship will be held Saturdays and Sundays from July 13 to July 21. The buy-in is $400.
