Online Poker Revenue Has a Good January in New Jersey

A breakdown of New Jersey’s $18.8 million in online revenue for January shows that online poker saw an uptick for the month. While the state’s online casino game revenue dominates the market, online poker revenue increased 11 percent over December and 8 percent over January 2016.

New Jersey’s online winning casino winning streak extended to online poker sites in January, according to an analysis by uspoker.com.

The state’s online casinos generated $18,820,098 in January, representing a 2.4 percent increase over December and a 28.6 percent increase over 2016. As usual, online casino games dominated accounting for about $16.5 million or 87 percent of the market.

Online poker brought in $2,338,866 an increase of 11.3 percent over December and 8.7 percent over 2016.

According to the website:

Borgata/Party revenue was up 8.2 percent, to $676,819 from December.

WSOP/888 saw an increase of 6.9 percent to $713,364 from December.

Year over year figures were down for the two platforms as PokerStars has transformed the market taking in $948,683 in gross gaming revenue, up 17.3 percent over December.
