Think of the World Series of Poker and your mind goes instantly to the $10,000 Main Event live tournament held in Las Vegas. Or, maybe you think of the dozens of other live events offered at the WSOP that are best known for being televised on ESPN.
But a lot of poker players might also think of WSOP Circuit Events. These events are smaller tournaments that are held around the country at Caesars Entertainment casinos. In Atlantic City, they’ve been held at Caesars and Harrah’s. Instead of awarding bracelets, winners of these tournaments win championship rings.
Why are we mentioning this? Because the WSOP circuit is now going online from September 18-30. This is the first time that the WSOP has held a circuit event online, and that’s largely due to the fact that players in New Jersey and Nevada can now participate in the same tournaments.

Nevada and New Jersey have entered into a player sharing agreement. Delaware is also in the agreement, but through 888poker, a WSOP partner, and can’t access WSOP-branded events.
The circuit event offers $700,000 guaranteed over 13 days. That means 13 rings will be awarded.
The event starts September 18 with a $12,500 guaranteed No Limit KO tournament with a $200 buy-in. That’s actually the lowest guarantee of the tournament events. After that, the lowest guarantee for an event is $25,000.
Some highlights include:
- Events 5 and 12—September 22 and 29, respectively—are both $50,000-guaranteed no-limit Hold’em double stack tournaments. Buy-in: $320.
- Event 6—September 23—is a $100,000 guaranteed no-limit Hold’em Monster Stack tournament. Buy-in: $320.
- Event 13—September 30—is a $200,000 guranteed no-limit Main Event. Buy-in: $525.

This year’s event is set for October 9 to November 2. It includes €13 million guranteed and 10 WSOP bracelets will be awarded.
The satellites will be held September 30 and October 7 at 6:30pm for a $320 buy-in.
The winner gets:

Considering that this year’s WSOP event in Las Vegas included online tournaments, just about all of WSOP’s offerings are going online as well.
