DraftKings Opens Second New Hampshire Sportsbook in a Month

In New Hampshire, sportsbooks can go inside a restaurant. So DraftKings opened its second retail space inside the South Side Tavern in Manchester.

The sportsbook features betting kiosks, televisions, and group seating within the 40,000-square-foot tavern, which underwent a $2.5 million renovation.

The sportsbook firm has the contract as exclusive sports wagering provider of the New Hampshire Lottery. DraftKings offered mobile sports betting in December 2019 and its first retail sportsbook at The Brook in Seabrook on August 12.

“For the first time in the city, customers will be able to place retail bets on their favorite sports while watching the games in real-time,” DraftKings North America President Matt Kalish said in a statement.

To help control exposure to Covid-19, employees and guests to South Side must wear masks, and employees will disinfect gaming machines all day, according to CDC Gaming Reports.

“We believe the sportsbook will further cement us as a destination location for sports fans in Manchester and the surrounding areas,” said Alex Anagnost, general manager, Granite State Poker, which operates the charitable gaming tavern.
