The NFL post-season kicks off this weekend, with the Wild Card Round.
The road to Super Bowl LV officially runs through the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers, who both secured first-round byes in the AFC and NFC.

NFL Playoff Betting Trends
- Quarterbacks making their first playoff start against a QB who isn’t are 15-31 straight up (SU) & 13-32-1 against the spread (ATS) since 2002. QBs that fit this trend for Wild Card Weekend: Baker Mayfield (Cleveland Browns) and John Wolford (Los Angeles Rams) if he starts for Jared Goff.
- The last two teams to make the playoffs with losing records actually won their first playoff games. In 2010, the 7-9 Seattle Seahawks beat the 11-5 New Orleans Saints, thanks to Marshawn Lynch’s iconic “Beast Mode” run in the fourth quarter. In 2015, the Carolina Panthers upset the 11-5 Arizona Cardinals after a big game from Cam Newton. Both Carolina and Seattle had home-field advantage in its games. The team that currently fits this trend: The Washington Football Team, which enters the playoffs with a losing record at 7-9 and will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday.
- Since 2012, there have been eight wild-card games with spreads of at least 7 points. All eight games went under the total. Games that fit: Chicago Bears at Saints and Bucs at WFT.
