On This Day In Sports History

January 15, 2006, the #6-seed Pittsburgh Steelers upset the top-seeded Indianapolis Colts 21–18. Despite a 21–3 Pittsburgh lead entering the fourth quarter, the Colts rallied late. The game peaked in chaos when Jerome Bettis fumbled with 1:20 left; Colts’ Nick Harper recovered the ball but was stopped by a game-saving tackle from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Indianapolis' comeback attempt ultimately failed when Mike Vanderjagt missed a 46-yard field goal attempt in the final seconds.

On This Day In Sports History

January 14, 2023, the Jacksonville Jaguars pulled off a historic playoff comeback, defeating the Los Angeles Chargers 31–30. Despite trailing 27–0 following four first-half interceptions by Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville rallied behind Lawrence's four touchdowns. The comeback was sealed by a Riley Patterson 36-yard field goal as time expired, marking the third-largest comeback in NFL postseason history.
