All four #1 seeds advanced to the 2025 Final Four, and Duke is still the consensus favorite to win the men’s college basketball championship. Duke is currently +100 odds at BetMGM, followed by Florida (+275), Houston (+400), and Auburn (+520).
BetMGM also offers a fun prop bet when you pick the two finalists, and Duke vs. Florida is the most popular pairing.
2025 MARCH MADNESS CHAMPIONSHIP ODDS
Duke +100
Florida +275
Houston +400
Auburn +520
All four #1 seeds were also the betting favorites entering this year’s March Madness tournament. They each won their respective regionals in a chalky-heavy 2025 that lacked major upsets.
It’s rare to see the top four seeds battling out in the Final Four, but the four remaining schools are historical powerhouses based on advanced metrics. Since Ken Pomeroy started tracking college basketball teams in 1996-97, all four teams in this year’s Final Four are among the Top 10 all-time teams ever recorded on KenPom.com.

Duke: Seeking First Title in Post Coach K Era
Duke (35-3) last won a title in 2015, but this is their first appearance in the Final Four under Jon Scheyer in the post-Mike Krzyzewski era. Coach K led Duke to five championships, and Scheyer had tough shoes to fill as the legend’s successor.
Scheyer was a player at Duke during their last championship run in 2015, and he looks to join an elite club that won an NCAA title as a player and a coach.
Duke easily won the East Regional with a 20-point victory over #2 Alabama. They also defeated #4 Arizona by seven points, dubbed #9 Baylor by 23 points, and destroyed #16 Mount St. Mary’s by 44 points. If you dismiss the ridiculous blowout against the #16 seed, Duke’s other three wins had an average margin of victory of 16.7 ppg.
No one has figured out how to slow down Duke’s tandem of super-freshmen, Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel. Although Flagg entered March Madness with injury concerns, his sore ankle has not held him back. He averaged 21.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game in Duke’s last three games. Meanwhile, Knueppel averaged 20.5 ppg in their last two victories.
Duke won 15 games in a row and opened as a -4.5 favorite against Houston. Duke was 25-13 ATS this season and 3-1 ATS in the tournament.
Duke is +100 odds to win the 2025 championship or even money to win their sixth title.

Florida: The Golden Years
During his 19-year tenure, Billy Donovan guided the Florida Gators to two championships in 2006 and 2007. Florida last made the Final Four in 2014 before they parted ways with Donovan in 2015.
In Todd Golden’s third season as Florida’s head coach, he led the Gators to their first appearance in the Final Four since 2014. Students and alumni are going berserk over the Gators for the first time since the end of the Donovan regime.
Florida (34-4) has lost only one game since early February. They won the West Regional thanks to a comeback victory against #3 Texas Tech. They survived a close call against the defending champs in the second round with a narrow two-point victory over #8 UConn. They also defeated #16 Norfolk State by 26 points and #4 Maryland by 16 points.
Florida opened as a -2.5 favorite over Auburn with the two SEC teams slugging it out in the Final Four. This will be the second time they played each other this season. The Gators went on the road and upset Auburn, who was ranked #1 at the time, by nine points on their home court back in February.
Florida is 27-11 ATS this season, but only 1-3 ATS in the tournament. It’s interesting to note that there has never been a champion who began the tournament 0-2 ATS.
Florida is the second favorite on the futures board at +275 odds to win the championship.

Houston: Still on Prowl for First Championship
It’s been over 40 years since the glory days of the Houston Cougars when future NBA Hall of Fame center Hakeem Olajuwon dominated the paint. Hakeem the Dream led the Cougars to back-to-back appearances in the championship game, but were the runner-up both times. They were stunned by N.C. State’s Cinderella squad in 1983, and Patrick Ewing’s Georgetown Hoyas defeated Houston in 1984.
Houston’s hoops program has been revitalized thanks to head coach Kelvin Sampson, who guided them to a second Final Four berth since 2021.
Houston (34-4) might have the best defense in the Final Four. They held teams to 58.3 ppg this season, and 56.5 ppg in the tournament. They held #2 Tennessee to 50 points in the Elite 8 when they won the Midwest Regional by 19 points. They also defeated #16 SIU Edwardsville by 38 points, #8 Gonzaga by 15 points, and won a nail-biter against #4 Purdue by two points.
Houston won 17 games in a row and has not lost a game since February 1. They opened as a +4.5 underdog against Duke, which marked only the second time this season they’re the dog in a game. Houston is only 20-17-1 ATS this season and 2-2 ATS in the tournament.
Houston is one of the two long shots on the futures board at +400 odds. If Houston can slow down Flagg and defeat Duke in the Final Four, there’s no reason that they cannot run the table and win their first championship.
Auburn: First Final Four Appearance
Auburn (32-5) stumbled into the tournament losing three out of their last four games, but they won four in a row and clinched the South Regional. They secured their first berth to the Final Four in school history by defeating #16 Alabama State by 20, #9 Creighton by 12, #5 Michigan by 13, and #2 Michigan State by six points.
Auburn is 3-1 ATS in March Madness but only went 20-16-1 ATS this season. Auburn opened as a +2.5 underdog against Florida in the Final Four. The two battled back in February when Auburn was ranked #1 in the country, but Auburn lost.
Out of all the #1 seeds, Auburn is the long shot on the board to win the title at +525 odds.

Even though the ACC had a lackluster year, Duke was easily the top team in that conference. Meanwhile, the SEC was a juggernaut in hoops this year with 14 teams securing bids to March Madness.
