October 2, 1908: Addie Joss of the Cleveland Naps ( today’s Guardians ) pitched a perfect game to beat the White Sox 1–0 at League Park in Cleveland. Chicago’s Ed Walsh allowed only four hits and struck out 15. The game's lone run was scored in the third inning.
